Isobel Lerpiniere

Isobel Lerpiniere is an early career researcher and project manager at the Sydney Institute of Marine Science (SIMS), where she manages a multi-million-dollar ocean observing program across New South Wales. Her research focuses on innovative approaches to addressing gaps in ocean observation, particularly through the use of animal-borne sensors. She is currently completing a Master of Research at Macquarie University, investigating the utility of IMOS animal-borne sensors and Fishing Vessels as Ships of Opportunity Program (FishSOOP) for enhancing ocean observing across northern Australia and the East Australian Current.
