JonathanMoorhead is experienced in industrial aquaculture, public aquariums, and research-focused roles, and brings a high-level of technical and academic experience to his role. Skilled in testing, design, and development of a range of specialized and innovative tanks and aquatic animal holding systems, Jonathan has navigated complex technical and husbandry issues across a broad range of aquatic species including freshwater and marine fish, freshwater and marine micro- and macro-algae, marine invertebrates, and coral.
Recent achievements include the successful spawning and rearing of several commercially important corals species including Euphyllia glabrescens (Torch coral), Homophyllia australis (the Australian ‘scoly’), Micromussa lordhowensis (the Australian ‘Acan’) and Trachyphyllia geoffroyi (‘Trachy’ coral).
