Adriana A Neufeld Armenta
Adriana Neufeld Armenta (Guadalajara, Jalisco, 1992) holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the Metropolitan Autonomous University (UAM), Iztapalapa Campus. She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Marine Ecology at CICESE and conducts research training at the Harmful Algae and Environmental Microbiology Laboratory of CIBNOR in La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico.
Her research focuses on bioremediation processes and the study of microorganisms associated with marine ecosystems. She has experience in terrestrial bioremediation using plants and fungi, and more recently has been investigating marine bacteria with potential for contaminant degradation.
She has participated in coral restoration projects involving the genera Porites, Pavona, Acropora, and Pocillopora, as well as in various environmental volunteer programs in Mexico and abroad.
