Ananya Majumdar
Dr Ananya Majumdar is a Post Doctoral Research Fellow in the Traditional Owner and Stakeholder Engagement Subprogram of the Reef Restoration and Adaptation Program (RRAP), based at the Queensland University of Technology. She focuses on adaptive governance, working with communities and interest groups to co-design and collaboratively assess governance for scientific adaptation interventions in the Great Barrier Reef. Ananya has worked extensively in civil society and academia in various countries, and has hands-on experience in the fields of marine, coastal and water governance; environmental justice for Traditional communities; biodiversity conservation; and climate and disaster resilience. She holds a PhD from RMIT University and an LL.M. in Environmental Law from the University of Melbourne (Victoria). She also has an M.A. in Geography and International Development from the University of Guelph, and a B.A. in International Relations and Anthropology from the University of Calgary (Canada). Ananya is passionate about the oceans and is committed to serving and supporting the evolution of a more humane and balanced way towards one another and the Planet.
