Kara Thompson
Kara Thompson is an Honours student at the University of New South Wales, specialising in eco-engineering, biodiversity monitoring, and culturally informed coastal restoration. She holds a Bachelor of Marine Science from the University of Wollongong. Currently, her Honours research is in collaboration with the Birrigan-Gargle Local Aboriginal Land Council and the Sydney Institute of Marine Science. Her project evaluates both ecological and cultural outcomes of Living Boulders installations, focusing on species-level monitoring and long-term habitat performance.
