Rory Mulloy

Rory’s research focuses on coastal restoration and nature-based solutions for coastal management. His PhD examined methods for redesigning port infrastructure, specifically how seawalls can be engineered to provide habitat for mangroves and benthic ecosystems. A key aspect of his role at TropWATER involves managing long-term water quality monitoring programmes for several industrial ports along the Queensland and Great Barrier Reef coast, characterising water quality changes to understand potential impacts on adjacent marine habitats.
